How does your diet look?
Comp Prep: My competition prep diet remained steady at 1200 calories for the 11 weeks leading up to my Nationals win.
What do I eat? Carbs (oats or Kumara) 4 times a day right up to Nationals & lots of chicken, veges/salad, whey protein! That’s it! These are the essential building blocks of my diet! In terms of macro split, my nutrition is made up of moderate carbs, high protein & low fat.
Off-season: It’s been a short off-season so I have wanted to stay relatively lean (sub-13% body fat). My calories have incrementally increased up to around 1700. Same food groups but an increase in protein and carbs. Most of my carb increase is integrated pre/during & post workout. Why? To flood my body with the nutrients it needs to add as much muscle as possible to my frame before the Arnold Classic. It’s Mid-December now & I am starting to cut down for the Arnold.. I’ll be back sub-10% bodyfat by January & on track to bring my best package yet to the international stage!
